2023 Local Hero Brigham Kiplinger 

IN 2023, LCCA’s board of directors chose as our local hero Brigham Kiplinger, Principal of Garrison Elementary School, known by his students as Mr. Kip. In six years, Principal Kiplinger has transformed Garrison from a school facing closure due to poor test scores to being regarded as one of D.C.’s best performing schools. As one of his nominators wrote, “Principal Kiplinger daily greets each student and family by name, works tirelessly to build bridges with the Logan Circle community, and recruits, coaches, and retains an instructional team that reflects excellence and mirrors the diversity of the student body.” Please join LCCA in congratulating Principal Kiplinger for his award and all he has accomplished.
