Logan Circle Heritage Trail Story Sharing Session

04/26/2011 | 5:00 pm- 6:30 pm

Please join LCCA and Cultural Tourism DC for a Story Sharing Session on Tuesday, April 26, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. (note time change from previous meetings) in the multi-purpose room at Garrison Elementary School, 1200 S Street, N.W. Let’s make history in this Logan Circle education center whose staff and PTA have ramped up for big improvements in the neighborhood’s public preschool and elementary education. Share your stories and photographs (with your permission, your photos can be scanned at the meeting), help us identify historic sites, stories, and landmarks, and plan the trail route. For more information on the Logan Circle Heritage Trail effort, contact Tim Christensen, 202-641-6934. To learn about the Washington, DC Neighborhood Heritage Trails Program, contact Jane Freundel Levey at Cultural Tourism DC, 202-661-7581. A list of existing Heritage Trails is available here.

Washington, DC Neighborhood Heritage Trails are developed by neighborhood working groups and the nonprofit Cultural Tourism DC, in conjunction with the District Department of Transportation. Funding for planning the Logan Circle Heritage Trail is provided by the DC Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development under the Neighborhood Investment Fund.
