Lead In Drinking Water Update
WASA is urging the 10,000 residents who have received water test kits to return their kits for processing. Officials have also announced that that approximately 800 public space lead service pipes will be replaced this year to reduce further lead exposure.Water quality crews have also started to "flush" water mains throughout the city from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Sundays through Thursdays, until November 2004.
